Product storage and serving
At what temperature should the product be stored?
Ideal Ice Creams are best stored at home unopened at 0 degrees F
(-18 degrees C).
For extended storage up to the "best before" date,
-10 degrees F (-23.3 degrees C) or colder is recommended where possible.
How do I know if my Ideal Ice Cream is at its best quality?
When kept at the recommended storage temperature, Ideal products are excellent
through the "best before" date found on the package. A "best before" date is found on the lid of a tub, and end flap of a carton.
How should I serve my Ideal Ice Cream products?
To deliver the best flavor and texture, most Ideal Ice Creams should be allowed to soften slightly before serving. Allow your products to soften at room temperature for approximately 10 minutes, depending on the actual room temperature and temperature of your freezer.
Can Ideal Ice Cream products be refrozen after they have been thawed?
No. Ideal Ice Cream products should not be refrozen if thawed. Product thawing and refreezing can create large ice crystals causing undesirable grainy / gritty texture and diminished quality.
What types of garnishes can I add to ice cream to make it a more special dessert?
A variety of chocolate decorations, fresh fruits, cookies, toppings or liquors may be added to a scoop of ice cream to create a more attractive presentation.
Add section on garnishes / presentation ideas.
Product information
What do I do if I cannot find my favorite Ideal Ice Cream product?
Ideal Ice Cream would like to have all locations carry our entire product line. Unfortunately, this isn't always the case and we recommend your expressing interest in purchasing a particular Ideal product to your local store or restaurant manager.
Are Ideal Ice Cream products Vegetarian?
All Ideal Ice Creams that are sold in Ideal Ice Cream Packaging - cartons, tubs etc. are 100% Vegetarian. They do not contain egg or any other animal fats. However we cannot vouch for our Ice creams sold at restaurants / shops when they are used in combination with other products / ingredients as desserts or frozen drinks.
